Courtney, the owner and main proofreader, editor, and copywriter, holds bachelor’s degrees in Japanology and Japanese translation, and in Spanish literature (of Latin America). She also spent a month studying in Romania. Currently based in Hamburg, she has also lived and worked in education and consulting in Seoul and Tokyo.

Rebecca is a writer and translator based in Berlin. She is from Auckland, New Zealand, where she got her degree in Translation Studies, specializing in German financial translation and French. In her free time, she likes to go birdwatching, visit art galleries, cook, and daydream about moving back to the coast.

NiQui is native to the east coast of the US and has lived and worked in Japan for 15 years as an English instructor. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in accounting and is also an avid, talented baker and petter of dogs.

Derek graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. He currently lives in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he works as a regional editor at a marketing agency. He has also spent time as a freelance proofreader of English subtitles and as a copywriter for a US-based webcam company.
